In this mode, the FMP performs "peak-detection" of the audio signal. This means that on the next rising slope of the audio waveform, if the waveform exceeds the threshold, then detection will be declared. On the falling slope of the audio waveform, the detection decays according to the Decay Rate setting. If there are gaps in the sound that you wish to ignore, such as normal silence between notes, a slower decay will allow sound to be continuously detected during that interval.
If this option is selected, the following settings function as follows:
Invert Reward Polarity
If this box is checked, detection will be during silence, and non-detection during sound.Soft Threshold
If checked, the value to the right is used instead of the Threshold Knob setting. The values range between 0 and 255. If this is not selected, the Threshold Knob will determine the threshold setting, and is displayed at the bottom of the box.
If this option is selected, the following settings function as follows:
Invert Reward Polarity
- If unchecked:
PLAY state is selected when the TIP is shorted to the SLEEVE, or a logic "Low" is provided on the TIP. Otherwise, PAUSE is selected.- If Checked:
The opposite of the above.
If this option is selected, the following settings function as follows:

PLAY state is selected when the Simulate Sound/Switch checkbox is checked. Otherwise, PAUSE is selected.- If Checked:
The opposite of the above.Simulate Sound/Switch
This checkbox directly controls the state of the control output.
