In addition to the Common Menu Functions,
the following FMP-specific menu functions are provided.
File-Load IR Sequence
Your FMP release CD contains a long list of pre-captured IR Command sequences.
If you have a player that is
not the Toshiba default, you can
either Capture the sequences, or load them from prerecorded sequences provided on your disk.
You may find that simply reading one of these files is easier than trying to
capture using these. See IR Sequence Programming for details.
File-Save IR Sequence
After you have captured a set of PLAY/PAUSE commands, they can be saved to a file. This will eliminate
the requirement to recapture these if you should need to perform a Factory Reset. Please note that
IR Command Sequences are stored in Nonvolatile memory, so these are normally not
forgotten when the power is turned off.
(If you have a player that requires another sequence, then
we would appreciate if you would email us the resulting sequence file after you have tested it
so we can add it to our list of supported players.)
The Decay Rate parameter determines how fast silence will be detected. In any normal
music, there are significant gaps in the music. The FMP device is so fast that it will
see these as silence if the Decay Rate is very low. This parameter is only of any
significance when Audio Control is used.
The Repeat Count parameter determines how many times the IR command will be repeated.
For some systems, this can be reduced to a lower value if you notice that the DVD can
be successfully controlled with a lower value or if you find that the DVD single-steps or
oscillates if it is repeated. The default is 5. For Panasonic DVD Players, a value of about 2 or 3 is better.
