BioMedia is a handy Windows application that will assist you in setting up your FMP or CogniVideo device and expose features not available through the front panel. For some situations, the default factory setup is sufficient and you may wish to ignore this application. Even if you do change some configuration settings, these are stored in nonvolatile memory, and the application need not run for these settings to remain active.

We expect that most users will want to use the BioMedia utility to set up their device and then use the device as a stand-alone unit without running BioMedia any further.

Note: The BioMedia utility runs only in a Windows environment. If you are using your device in a Apple, Linux, Unix, or another environment, this utility won't be available. However, you can establish the settings using a computer running Windows, and then use the device using the target computer.
