The CogniVideo device uses the USB cable
for power and configuration commands. It is connected between the device
and a PC, usually the PC that is running biofeedback software.
Step 1:
Connect the USB Cable to a USB port on your PC. If you don't have a USB Port on your PC, you will need to obtain
a USB Port card and install it in your PC.
Connecting both FMP and CogniVideo:
It is okay to connect both an FMP device and CogniVideo device to the same computer at the
same time.
If the Power Indicator does not light:
Something is seriously wrong as the Device is getting no power from your PC. Check that the
USB Cable is connected properly and the PC is on.
If the Audio Detect Indicator does not blink:
You may need
to set up the USB controller in the PC. It is usually the case that you will
need to "Install a USB device". Simply select a Human Interface Device (HID).
After you complete the driver installation (use the default) then unplug the
device and plug it back in and the Audio Detect LED should
blink. It is necessary for the PC to be fully powered on during the operation
of the device.
Powering on after setup:
Once the unit is set up, there is no need to run anything on your computer to
use it, as the configuration is stored in nonvolatile memory. You do not need to
disconnect the USB cable. Whenever the PC is turned on, the unit will initialize.
