Many mining operations are similar in nature, and the tools can handle the basic structure of these tasks, the automated operation sometimes taking hours of elapsed time. However, each operation is somewhat unique as well, so that it is necessary to optimize our tools for each situation.

Here are some mining operations performed for our clients:

• Contact Database Mining
  Our client needed contact information of photographers for a B2B marketing campaign. After getting approval, we accessed the Professional Photographers of America data base resulting in approximately 15,000 email and physical addresses. Used in a productive B2B email campaign with nearly 12% return rate!

• B2B Search Engine Mining
  You give us the Yahoo! or Google term to search, our engine accesses that page, and then probes each of the businesses web pages and finds their email address, building your database. Your email includes a link that updates the data record -- you know who is accessing your offer, and where their web site is!

• B2B eCatalog Mining
  Many sites are either "Catalogs" (pages of descriptions and links) or "Directories" (pages of links). Our tool lets you import this information into your marketing database!

• Image Mining
  As an example of our capability, our client ImagingWeb.com requested that we find all NASA/JPL that met certain resolution requirements. Our mining engine was updated to mine all of the JPL site, building a database on the images that met the requirements. (NASA/JPL provided a release to this public information)

  In another example, our client needed high-resolution product images to populate their on-line portal catalog. With over 10,000 items in their catalog, this could be a tremendous core. • Patent/Press Release Mining
  Keep track of patent and public press releases using our PR mining tool!

• Targeted Email
  We can send bulk email to the mined lists. Note: We don't perform SPAM -- we send only to advertised email addresses that are offered for email, and with the targetted mining operation, we get few if any complaints that our email offers are "spam".
