  • Threshold Control Knob: adjust threshold for sound/silence discrimination. Also used to select logic input (open/closed circuit) if available.
  • Audio Detect: lighted when sound or logic 'closed' detected.
  • IR In: Used to train system to understand signals from virtually any remote control.
  • Power: Lighted when power is on. Power is from USB port.

  • USB Connector: Connect to PC using provided cable. Used for Power as well as setup and configuration using Windows-based applet.
  • Control Out: When detecting sound/silence, this output can be used to control other equipment, including Cognisys Biofeedback Video Mux or Bio Pad.
  • Test: Pressing this button simulates toggle from Play to Pause.
  • Audio/Logic In: Connect to PC sound output port, or to logic ("Switch") output from other equipment (like Thought Technologies).
  • IR Out: This LED must be positioned to shine at the IR input of the DVD player.

  • Purpose: Allows super easy setup and configuration from your windows PC.
  • Capture: Capture Infrared Communication from almost any remote control and saves it in nonvolatile memory in the device. Many sequences are available for quick loading from your PC disk.
  • Configuration: Invert threshold, Enable input as logic or sound, and minimum hold times can be configured here.
  • Soft Control: Override the front panel knob and submit manual control values.
  • Run Mode: Follow Input (Play/Pause exactly as input signal dictates) or Follow Edge (Temporarily pause whenever Play-to-pause transition is seen, then play). This is a new feature, only available here!

  • Biometric equipment can control PLAY or PAUSE state of a conventional DVD, CD or VCR player.
  • Videos are fun for subjects to watch during training instead of boring computer displays. Thousands of titles available at your video store... or make your own!
  • Interfaces with virtually any biofeedback equipment that includes a general-purpose relay (open-circuit vs. conduction) output OR sound output.
  • Tested with:
    • Thought Technologies ProComp+ Equipment. (Under "Feedback Option" set "Use Switch Control".)
      • Direct connection is available BUT only one parameter can be thresholded at a time.
      • Audio interface will work for multiple parameters and thresholds.
    • Thought Technologies Infiniti Platform (Pre-canned screens are available. Directly connectable.)
    • J & J Engineering (audio interface)
    • The "Thinking Cap" developed by Hershel Tommim of Biocomp (HEG) (Directly connected)
    • Lexicor Equipment (audio interface)
    • WaveRider Equipment
    • BrainMaster (audio interface)

    • Neuro Cybernetics EEGR equipment (audio interface)
    • Absolutely any equipment that can emit a solid tone vs. silence from PC speaker connector.
  • Infrared control means no direct connection between equipment and subject for ultimate safety.
  • Includes audio/logic interface cable
  • LEDs indicate expected play/pause state.
  • Powered by USB cable to PC. One USB 1.0 connector is required.
  • USB Cable is provided.
  • "Control Output" can be used to control other feedback equipment for general on/off feedback.
