Chronology Web

Welcome to the Chronology Web of the Eden's Trees site. This is a structured web, meaning that you only add information to data record topics that are mostly a form. The form elements are stored as META tags in the topic, and some free-text area is provided for each historical entry. You may add or discuss these at that level.

This sort of structured web is extremely useful as we can summarize the chronological events in time and category, to get a better idea how thought has progressed through time. These summaries area created using real-time searches on the chronological information, thereby eliminating the need for manual summaries of the information from the data record topics.

Date suffixes:

Modern tradition has been to move from "Before Christ," or B.C., to "Before Common Era," or B.C.E., and from "anno Domini" (Latin for "in the year of the Lord") to "Common Era." This approach is used here but the old suffixes may still be found.
